The things people do: good and bad, like and unlike, rotten and sweet, Uncle Sam and Bigfoot, all have a purpose. Yet some things are best left undone.

Adopt a MaskAdopt a mask You’ll need it Without they’ll recognizeAdopt a Mask
Adopt a mask Or else They’ll see the silver screen in your eyes
With plastic façade
That shields like cotton Your memories Can be forgotten
Don’t rip the mask Or you’ll break free
Like a river from a dam
Wear the mask So you’re not haunted
By ghosts far older than man
Red ghosts and purple ghosts They scream while you’re away Put down the shovel
Into the dirt Don’t dig that grave today
Adopt a mask You

Empty HouseFloorboards dark in gathering dust Rooms and closets, for light they lust Noise and laughter of inhabitants gone Replaced by the creaking of the Silent OneEmpty House
The Silent One Watching without eyes The Empty House His porcelain prize
Gloom gathers in purple curtains like lice Under darkwood, the quiet march of mice Glossy windows clamped shut to keep out the bees But the Silent One can slip through all of these
The Silent One A piercing cold draft The Empty House A clinical craft

Calculate, calculate, cross out and divide When you swim in this river there's nowhere to hide
A double-edged blade that never cleaves the right target Ebbing and flowing like an inverted tide But hey, it was forged in the fires of your own hearth If the scabbard fits, wear it

Good work, by the way :woot:"
but what if that supposedly "simple" click of the camera has meaning to it? what if it's poetry in a picture? if you just have to think about them.that's usually what i tend to gear my photos towards. and i try to give them titles to get people thinking in the right direction (if that makes any sense at all lol) good photography makes you think about the story behind it, it's not just a pretty picture, it's a story with no words.
anyway, i just had to defend photography, since i'm a major photo addict
one last thing-- i love the piece "That Guy Who Everyone Knows"
